The Lockdowns, the Official COVID Story and Where I'm Coming From

This is where I'm coming from in my opposition to the lockdowns and my skepticism of the official story on COVID-19.
I don't trust the government. I don't trust the media. I most certainly do not trust the medical establishment.
I haven't trusted the government or the media since the Clinton years. They lied to us about Waco. They lied to us about Somalia. They lied to us about Yugoslavia. They lied to us about Afghanistan. They lied to us about Iraq. They're lying to us right now about Syria and Iran. Why should we suddenly trust them now? Whenever I asked this question of those supportive of the lockdowns, they never give me a real answer, just visceral, profanity laden ad hominem attacks wishing imprisonment, disease and death on me just for having a different view. One particularly unintelligent individual who I since had to block on Facebook had the gall to say that I've been "conditioned" and to call me a "bootlicker" even though he's the one slavishly regurgitating the panic porn he's being fed and begging the government for more control over his and everyone else's lives. He got what he wanted when his hero, Gavin Newsom, imposed dictatorial lockdowns and attempted to cancel Independence Day and Thanksgiving in California. This same person is always screaming about "evil corporations", but loves Big Pharma. Tell me who's the conditioned one here, me, who questions the official story and finds something wrong with the picture, or him, who believes and does what he's told?
As for the medical establishment, I can't ever recall a time in my life when I trusted them. Even as a child I questioned the wisdom of placing blind faith in someone just because he wears a white lab coat and has the word "Doctor" next to his name. As an adult I tend to view most physicians as glorified pharmaceutical salesmen or narcissists with god complexes. I can tell you that I trust medical establishment even less after what those butchers at Memorial Hospital in Modesto did to my mother. You can save the "hEaLtHcArE hErOeS" shuck and jive for someone else, I'm not buying it.
I'm not saying the disease is a hoax. It is real. It's real to the people who contracted it as well as those who lost loved ones to it. Those who are vulnerable should do what is right for them. It's when politicians use emergencies or create them by hyping up a flu with a 99% survivability rate, as an excuse to curtail liberties and secure more power for themselves is when I start to have problems. The government's reaction and the media hype has done far more damage than the disease itself. I'm not selfish for wanting my life back, you're the one who's selfish if you want the government to take away from people those things that gave their lives meaning and joy just to give you a false sense of security.
If someone close to me, friend or family, tests positive for COVID, I'm not changing my tune. There are things that I believe in that are bigger than myself, that person and everyone else, that I believe in that I just can't walk turn away from. So no, having someone close to me get COVID isn't going to turn me into a Nazi. If I get it, I would make it clear to those near and dear to me that I don't want to be a poster boy for some personal crusade to make everyone else's lives miserable and I would disavow it LOUDLY and PUBLICALLY!
This is where I'm coming from and why I'm not changing my mind.
